Wastewater Solutions For The Fracing Industry

Eureka Resources, LLC, provides cost-effective, environmentally safe, wastewater treatment and disposal solutions to the natural gas exploration and hydrofracturing industry.  Eureka’s industry-leading treatment process involves recycling Marcellus shale water for use at future well sites as well as a concentrated brine crystallizer to allow for beneficial reuse of valuable by-products that can be extracted from the water.

The company’s Williamsport, Pa. wastewater treatment plant has been operating since 2008 and has undergone multiple upgrades to add more capabilities. The facility has the capacity to handle more than 8,000 barrels of wastewater per day and is the only facility treating Marcellus wastewater that meets or exceeds the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s stringent standards for discharge into the state’s rivers or streams.

A second world-class centralized wastewater treatment facility was commissioned in Bradford County, Pa in February of 2014.  This facility is the first to include the addition of a crystallizer to recovery valuable by-products from the  water including sodium chloride and calcium chloride.
